Do we collect or process data on users of the PTNCE website?

We collect no data about the users of our site.

We do not use user profiling.

We do not use cookies.

How do we process personal data of members of our society?

According to the Statute, the PTNCE member candidate submits the Application Form to the Board of the Society. The form require some personal details to be provided, including name, e-mail, affiliation. On the basis of the application form and two recommendation letters, the Steering Committee decides to accept the candidate as a member of the Society. Personal data of PTNCE members included in their application forms are therefore available to members of the PTNCE Board.

In the application form, the candidate also provides which personal data, if any, can be made public on the PTNCE website in the list of members. These data include name and surname, affiliation (without postal address), e-mail address, personal website address. A PTNCE member may withdraw prior consent. Write to us if you want your data to be changed, supplemented or deleted.

In the absence of a request to delete personal data by their owner, we store these data without time limits.

Why do we publish a list of members and their personal details?

List of members with data about them:

facilitates establishing contacts between people with similar research interests and contacts between representatives of the media and members of the Society,

helps candidates for PTNCE members to find people who will recommend them (only PTNCE members can recommend candidates),

allows to know scientific interests of the PTNCE members and countries they come from, which shows the specificity of our society,

allows to verify the authenticity of our society and its members.

Who administers personal data?

The secretary of PTNCE, Agnieszka Żelaźniewicz keeps the application forms of candidates for PTNCE members and any subsequent paper and electronic correspondence regarding personal data of members.

Treasurer of PTNCE, Judyta Nowak processes data on membership fees.

The webmaster of PTNCE website, Krzysztof Kościński manages an online database of members and sharing these data in the form of a List of Members on the website.

How do we protect personal data of PTNCE members?

Access to the online database containing personal details of members is protected by passwords. The password enabling the reading of all personal data of members (including those not accessible to the public) is known only to the members of the Steering Committee. The password enabling the modification of the online database of personal data (including adding and deleting data) is known only to the webmaster – Krzysztof Kościński.

Members' e-mail addresses are displayed on our site in a way that prevents them from being recognized by Internet bots (the @ sign in e-mail addresses is replaced by the expression [q]).

We do not share personal data of PTNCE members with any external entities.

We only contact PTNCE members by e-mail.

Our Privacy Policy respects the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council of the European Union 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (Data Protection Directive).
