Spring School 2017

The Fourth Spring School in Evolutionary Psychology was organised on 5-9.05.2017 by PTNCE and the Institute of Psychology at the University of Wroclaw.

Place: Studzienice.

Organisers: Dr habil. Piotr Sorokowski, Agata Groyecka, Michał Misiak, Agnieszka Sabiniewicz.

Theme: Methodology and statistics in evolutionary research.

Schedule:

Friday (5 May)
– workshops whose theme is applying statistics in evolutionary research.

Saturday (6 May)
– workshops whose theme is applying statistics in evolutionary research.

Sunday (7 May)
– workshops whose theme is applying statistics in evolutionary research.

Monday (8 May)
– morning: workshops whose theme is applying statistics in psychological research.
– afternoon: group work on the participants’ research projects.

Tuesday (9 May)
– morning: group work on projects proposed by the organisers of the workshop.
– afternoon: a farewell meeting and concluding the school’s session.

Course instructors:

Dr habil. Maciej Karwowski, is Professor at the Maria Grzegorzewska Pedagogical University: Head of the Institute of Psychopedagogy of Creativity. He is an author and an editor of nine books and nearly 100 research papers, including numerous publications in JCR journals. He is a laureate of numerous awards and scholarships, among others, the Fundacja na Rzecz Nauki Polskiej award given by the Polityka magazine.

Dr habil. Piotr Sorokowski, professor at the University of Wroclaw: Head of the Institute of Psychology at the University of Wroclaw. He is an author of numerous research papers published in JCR journals, including the most important titles in evolutionary psychology. He is a laureate of numerous awards and scholarships. He has conducted research in Africa, Papua and Amazon.

Dr Anna Oleszkiewicz: assistant professor at the Department of Experimental Social Psychology at the Institute of Psychology of the University of Wroclaw and Technical University in Dresden. She is an author of papers published in JCR journals.
