Spring School 2016
The Third Spring School in Evolutionary Psychology was organised on 22-24.04.2017 by PTNCE and the Institute of Psychology at the University of Wroclaw.
Place: University of Wroclaw (22.04.2017) and Hala Szrenicka in Szklarska Poręba (23.04-24.04.2017).
Organisers: Dr habil. Piotr Sorokowski, Michał Misiak, Anna Szala, Aleksandra Dziewulska.
Friday, 22 April (Wroclaw):
12:00 – Meeting in the Institute of Psychology of the University of Wroclaw and welcoming partcipants.
If participants are willing, we may move to a different place to socialise.
Saturday, 23 April (Szklarska Poręba):
We meet at the train station in the morning and travel to Szklarska Poręba together. The whole day will be devoted to discussing research projects and other ideas of the School’s participants of. The instructors will make every effort to analyse in detail every proposal and to provide qualitative feedback. The previous editions of the school shows that this is the way to a new project.
Sunday, 24 April (Szklarska Poręba):
After breakfast in the morning, we go to the train station and come back to Wroclaw together.
Prof. Bogusław Pawłowski: Head of the Department of Anthropology at the University of Wroclaw, President of PTNCE, he is an author of numerous scientific publications which appeared in leading journals (e.g. Nature). He reviewed hundreds of scientific works. He is a member of the editorial board of Evolutionary Psychology.
Dr habil. Maciej Karwowski: is Professor at the Maria Grzegorzewska Pedagogical University: Head of the Institute of Psychopedagogy of Creativity. He is an author and an editor of nine books and nearly 100 research papers, including numerous publications in JCR journals. He is a laureate of numerous awards and scholarships, among others, the Fundacja na Rzecz Nauki Polskiej award given by the Polityka magazine.
Dr habil. Piotr Sorokowski: professor at the University of Wroclaw: Head of the Institute of Psychology at the University of Wroclaw. He is an author of numerous research papers published in JCR journals, including the most important titles in evolutionary psychology. He is a laureate of numerous awards and scholarships. He has conducted research in Africa, Papua and Amazon.
Dr Agnieszka Żelaźniewicz: a fresh doctor and assistant professor at the Department of Human Biology of the University of Wroclaw. Despite her young age, she published her works in, among others, American Journal of Human Biology, Physiology & Behavior, Archives of Sexual Behavior.
